Brands Under Attack — September 2026

Our new “Brands Under Attack” Report for September is out, ranking the brands facing the most boycott pressure:
- In September 2026 we tracked 73,092 boycott posts across 12 platforms, generating 6.7 billion impressions from 49,369 distinct accounts.
- Adidas was named more than Target, Starbucks and Apple combined, and the trigger was a single ad campaign rather than a product or a policy.
- The month's most mobilized boycott was also its largest. Adidas averaged about 430 interactions per post across 5,419 posts, which is rare at that volume.
- Brands were boycotted for who appeared in their ads. Casting decisions at Adidas and Ralph Lauren set off global campaigns overnight.
- And the boycott that may cost the most barely made noise. About 1,300 posts urged people to cancel their streaming subscriptions, which hits revenue directly.
